Q1: How often should I lubricate the document shredder?
A1: In order to prolong the service life of the paper shredder, please use a lubricating sheet to oil shredder once or twice a month.
Q2: The machine stops working and the overheating red light is on, what should I do?
A2: Just turn it off and let it cool for about 20 minutes, then the shredder will resume work again.
Q3: The crosscut shredder is jammed. What should I do?
A3: Generally, you can press the "REV" button and pull up the paper at the same time. If there is a serious paper jam, you can press the "FWD" and "REV" buttons several times to clean the cutter, and then use tweezers and other tools to pick up the jam.
Q4: Why is the number of sheets that can be shredded lower than the maximum number of sheets described?
A4: Please check if the paper is damp, if it contains plastic, if the paper is too thick. It is recommended that the amount of shredded paper be controlled within the rated number of sheets, which can extend the life of the machine
Q5: Why are there scraps of paper in the trash can and on the knives? Have I received a used machine?
A5: In order to provide you with the best products, we will test each shredder before shipment, so there may be some pieces of paper in the trash can or knives. Please rest assured that all our machines are brand new.
Works well & is very quiet.
I used this about a hour being careful not to put more than 16 sheets though it at a time and the cutter heads kept plugging up with pieces of paper. The paper just didn't fall out of the head it just kept building up until it would jam. It finally just seized up and you can see all the ground up paper stuck in the heads.
So far I have shredded a few years of old paperwork without and problems. The bin is easy to empty and I like that there is an exhaust fan to remove heat. One thing I don't really like is that the shredder will reverse just before shut off if you don't put any paper in the slot. One time it backed so much paper that I had to use a tool to remove the shredded paper from the top as it wouldn't go down. Perhaps it was my fault but nevertheless I don't care for the auto reverse. It does have a manual reverse which I found helpful once. I also shredded so much paper at this point that it was full of dust. I blew it all out with compressed air. Looks and functions great. Overall it is a very good and fast shredder at a reasonable price. It is easily better than anything I was able to buy locally.
Purchased for home use and is doing a good job. So far so good
I have owned a Royal 1620 MX shredder for over 15 years and was extremely HEAVY DUTY. This Bonsen I would call MEDIUM DUTY. Only time will tell of its longevity. The Royal shredder quit after shredding 35 years of Business paper work filling over 250, 55gallon plastic bags!!
